Event: 2010 Tribute to ExcellenceSolving the Mystery of Arthritis Friday, September 24 th, 2010 6-9 PMPLANNING COMMMITTEE MEMBERS NEEDED ASAP!!!Time Commitment: August - September 24 thApproximately 3 hours per week3 face-to-face meetings Outside work via phone & e-mailLooking for a fun way to get involved with the Arthritis Foundation for only for a short period of time? We are in need of individuals interested in forming a new logistics committee for our gala ASAP. The turn around is quick with the event in September, so we are looking for individuals who are creative & motivated, as well as passionate about helping others, specifically those with arthritis. Volunteers must be willing to ask companies, individuals, etc to donate items to help the logistics committee.This year's theme is Solving the Mystery of Arthritis and we have some exciting things planned for the evening, but we need your help with the following:Day of Revenue Enhancers: Key to A Cure, Mystery Box - raffle (Securing prizes)Decorations: Center pieces, Other decorations, Guest gifts & Overall atmosphereDay of Logistics: Menu, Wine donated, Music, Unique honoree awardsDay of Volunteers: JA Families (10), AV Volunteer (1), Registration (4), Greeters (4), Raffle/Ticket sales (4-6)The first face-to-face meeting will be held the week of August 9 th. Once the committee is determined specifics will be sent out. Hope you can join us to make this mystery event a success! Tribute to Excellence is the Arthritis Foundation's signature event honoring those dedicated to improving the lives of Iowans with arthritis. Through joint replacement and reconstruction, improved treatments, and partnering with the Arthritis Foundation to keep patients moving toward better health, the 2010 honorees are helping to solve the mystery of arthritis pain for more than 611,000 adults and 2,800 children in Iowa battling arthritis.
